The graphs below show the centre of pressure movement for sitting and standing without arm support. The sitting trial is an example from someone with moderate lateropulsion, the standing trial is someone with only mild lateropulsion. As these figures demonstrate, postural instability was present for both individuals on day one for the different tasks, particularly in the mediolateral plane. The postural instability observed improved for both participants in both directions over the two-week period. This corresponded with an improvement in the individuals’ lateropulsion measures.
