Assessing stability and change of four performance measures: a longitudinal study evaluating outcome following total hip and knee arthroplasty
This note indexes a cited or audit-added source. It may be an original study, review, guideline, form or methods reference. Treat the specific design and the evidence below as authoritative; a source note is not automatically a primary study.
Bibliographic record from the original reports
Access labels embedded in these original reference strings are historical. Current access and exact checked components are stated separately below.

Scoped audit evidence
These are source- and component-level audit summaries as of 3 October 2026. Access and comparison scope can differ by report; none certifies every result or the underlying raw data.
Total knee arthroplasty
- access status: full_body_retrieved
Mixed 81 TKA/69 THA cohort, preoperative stable n=17 subgroup, month-scale retest, 40-m walk/46-m circuit, early postoperative and recovery design confirmed. Note source calls 8 days the preoperative-to-first-postoperative interval; report describes this as postoperative assessment timing, requiring wording precision.
Source locator: Methods Subjects, Outcome measures, Study design and Analysis; Results Tables 2–5
Limitations: Body extraction may omit images, equations or supplements. Metadata publication year may represent online-first date, not issue year. Article access does not prove every table/figure/supplement was examined. Use the claim ledger and explicit source locators; do not count this inventory as a complete assertion-level audit.
Total hip arthroplasty
- current access class: original_body_or_pdf_available
- source version note: Version and incomplete-table limitations preserved in evidence notes.
150 participants: 69 hips/81 knees. Reliability 21 preoperative observations, 17 stable by LEFS criterion; median first-to-third interval 178 days. Fast walk two 20-m lengths excluding turn; 46-m rectangular 6 MWT, usual aids. Fast-walk ICC .91/MDC90 4.04 s; 6 MWT ICC .94/MDC90 61.34 m. Early 6 MWT: 33/119 unable, 4 missing, 82 completed.
Source locator: Methods Subjects, Outcome measures, Study design; Results Tables 2 and 5
Limitations: Correctly separated from postoperative THA-specific error. Substantive original material obtained; this is not proof of original report author access or every table/supplement being inspected.
