Validity and reliability of the community balance and mobility scale in individuals with knee osteoarthritis.
This note indexes a cited or audit-added source. It may be an original study, review, guideline, form or methods reference. Treat the specific design and the evidence below as authoritative; a source note is not automatically a primary study.

Knee osteoarthritis — balance
- current access: fulltext_pmc_html
- verification depth: tables
All four original table images were visually inspected. Sample, ceiling, reliability and change-error estimates match. Describe 0.52–0.74 as absolute correlation magnitudes, because the TUG correlation is negative (r=-0.74).
Source locator: Methods; original table images1-4 visually inspected
Limitations: Source-group appraisal. A supported source group does not turn every generic clinical recommendation into a validated decision rule.
Targeted evidence additions
Proposed addition: In the 20-person OA retest subset of Takacs 2014, usual and fast gait-speed MDC95 values were 0.20 and 0.27 m/s, respectively, under that study’s protocol and repeat interval. These do not replace other protocol-specific estimates.
Evidence scope: Original Table 4 image visually inspected; protocol and selected ambulant sample must accompany values.
These additions came from bounded source tracing, not a systematic update proving complete literature coverage.
