LEAPS Methods confirm 283 participants at approximately 20 and 60 days, a 10 m timed course within 14 m, usual aids, and up to maximal one-person assistance. The mRS-anchored 0.16 m/s threshold has 73.9% sensitivity and 57.0% specificity.

Limitations: The disability anchor is broader than a patient-specific walking goal. Results apply to the study protocol, including assisted walking and study-specific handling of inability.
