Total hip arthroplasty
- current access class: original_body_or_pdf_available
- source version note: Version and incomplete-table limitations preserved in evidence notes.
157 analyzed, 142 women, 32 fallers; age 45–75, anterolateral, home within 5 days. Preop 1 month; best of 3 supine abduction with sensor 2.5 cm proximal malleolus and spina-malleolar normalization. SLS hands on hips, best of 2, 30 s cap. Affected SLS14.48 vs 13.06 s; strength .45 vs .60 Nm/kg. Cutoff .46, AUC .702, sensitivity 73.6%, specificity 50%. OR coding ambiguous; no monthly-calendar ascertainment reported.
Source locator: Methods 2.2 and 2.4; Results Tables 1–3 and Fig 2
Limitations: Numerical table female percentages do not reconcile cleanly with overall sex totals; report uses narrative total. AUC is discrimination, not individual probability. Substantive original material obtained; this is not proof of original report author access or every table/supplement being inspected.
