Total hip arthroplasty

21 unilateral hip OA before/6 months after THA; rapid maximal hip flexor/extensor/abductor/adductor, knee flexor/extensor contractions. Hipflexor/extensor/adductor asymmetries persisted; knee explosive asymmetry resolved. Abstract contradicts whether baseline knee-extensor maximal strength was impaired; report explicitly preserves this.
