TKA-C04 · source scoring description ambiguity
Classification and audit outcome: source scoring description ambiguity; supported with version caveat.
Finding
The original accepted manuscript has16-item wording on p6 and maximum28 in Table4 p24. Sixteen independently scored0–2 items would total32; bilateral-item conventions could explain the discrepancy, but the source text does not resolve it.
Current amendment or qualification
Table4 labels a 28-point Mini-BESTest maximum, but the Methods describes16 items scored0–2. Preserve the table label and disclose the source-version conflict; do not operationalize the threshold until the scoring protocol is clarified.
Integration note: Preserve table label and unresolved scoring description; do not substitute 32 or operationalize threshold.
Remaining limitation: Item-versus-task/bilateral scoring conventions could explain ambiguity; not proven scoring error.

Audit corrections describe the report only where that classification is explicit. A disagreement within a study, missing protocol, statistical query, access upgrade or optional addition is not silently converted into a report error or a new clinical threshold.
